Hallo, ich bin Katja
I am a native German Tutor with over 12 years of experience. I have tutored numerous private students and many well-known corporate clients.
I also have worked 11 years at the Goethe Institut London where I qualified as an examiner for all Goethe Exams from level A1 to C2. During my career I have taught German to over 1000 students and helped many people pass their exams. My work is my passion, so I want my students to succeed.

I teach everything German. I am very versatile. German for beginners, advanced German, Business German, conversational lessons, grammar lessons, technical German for a certain profession… you name it I teach it.
The right teaching materials are crucial. I will choose a course book that’s right for your level and individual requirements. In addition, I will spice up your lessons with a variety of additional tailored exercises, films and audio clips to inspire you to talk German.
Qualification and experience is important. My educational background is in languages. I also have over 6 years of teaching experience at the Goethe Institut and Birkbeck University as well as thousands of hours working with private students.
Born and raised in Germany by a mum who is also a German teacher. German is my mother tongue. Pronunciation, intonation, grammar, sentence structure, the best German sayings and swear words, all the words for beer… I know the language inside out.
A focus on your success. My work is my passion and I want the absolute best for my students. I am determined to take you to the next level, no matter what. I’m not afraid to tell the truth, because this is where real learning happens, if you say something wrong 10 times, I will correct you 10 times until you get it right.
